Our flights are booked!

Well, we officially have a travel date! We leave NL on February 24th, fly to Ontario to spend a few days with familiy and friends, and then meet up with the other NL couples on February 28th to fly to Beijing! We will arrive in Beijing a few days earlier than anticpated. This will help with the jetleg, and we will have an opportunity to spend some time with our travel mates -- not the mention a little shopping! We are still not sure what day we actually get to meet Maggie -- likely on March 3rd or 4th. It won't be much longer now!

Isn't it just so exciting to get the flight confirmed Lisa. It makes it all that much more real. Make sure you let me know when you'll be in Toronto on your way back so me and Olivia can meet you at the airport :-)

Congratulations Brent and Lisa on your beautiful Chenzhou Sweetie from a fellow CB and Chenzhou baby's mom! We adopted our second daughter Lilah from Chenzhou in April 2005. She's definately a spicy gal and full of spunk! ;)

I noticed you were thinking about clothing, just thought I would chime in and tell you not to sweat her weight. Lilah too was 13lbs at referral, but 4.5 months later she only weighed 13.5lbs. She was swimming in 12 month clothing and wore mostly 6-12 month stuff. Most of the other gals were similarily referred. I've heard that Chenzhou weighs the babies in full clothing and that they have a tendancy to "lean" on the scales.

Best wishes on your trip and don't hesitate to visit our blog archives from April 2005 to check out the trip.

Congratulations and best wishes,
Karen (5 Klassen's)
