I can't believe that it has been over a month since I update this blog. It has been another crazy and busy month. Maggie became very ill in late May. She had a urinary tract infection that, for some strange reason, was not responding to oral antibiotics. She had to be hospitalized for one week so that she could receive IV antibiotics. My poor baby! She had to spend her birthday in the hospital. The staff were nice enough to bake her a cake. Here are a few pictures of her in the hospital in late May.
When Maggie was released, we celebrated her birthday at home with a few family members. You can see from this picture, she is still feeling miserable!
When Maggie was feeling better, we finally had her christening. This is a cpicture of Maggie with her three godparents -- Aunt Joanne, Uncle Peter and Aunt Wanda. One of Maggie's christening cakes (compliments of Aunt Joanne!).

A long over-due update
Again I have to apologize for taking so long to post updated pictures. But life with two children is absolutely crazy and I can't seem to find any extra time throughout the day. Maggie is doing great... Mommy is her favourite person now (I knew I would win her over when Daddy went back to work). She loves to play all day long... and she is so content and happy. What a blessing she is! We feel so honoured to be her parents! Gracie is doing great too. We just celebrated her fourth birthday. Ohh my.... our little girl is growing up so fast. She is soooo tall!! Anyway... here are a few pictures taken over the last few weeks.
Maggie absolutely loves swinging. She could swing for hours! Maggie with Great Grandmother Goldworthy (Nanny Go)

Second playdate with my Chinese "sisters"
We had a second playdate today with a few of Maggie's Chinese Orphanage "sisters" -- Lily Roche and Mia McGrath. Unfortuntatly Tasha Brown and Abby Lynch were not able to make it. They are pretty busy girlies you know! Hopefully we will see them soon, as we are all getting together soon to celebrate the girls birthdays. The five girls are only 10 days or less apart in age! Here are a few pictures from our playdate.

Playdate with my Chinese "sisters"
More pictures of our girls!
Well life has definitely been crazy around here. Contrary to popular belief, it is not easier with two children! Our lives have been extremely busy… but wonderful. Maggie and Gracie are both doing great. Here are a few pictures taken over the past week or so.
Such a pretty smile!

An update -- sorry it has taken me so long!!!
Again, sorry it has taken me so long to write. Another crazy week! As you know I was sick last week. Once I started feeling better…Brent got sick... then Gracie and then Maggie. We are all on the mend now.... hopefully no one else gets sick!
Maggie is doing fantastic. She is sleeping through the night for the most part (except when she is teething… poor baby). We officially have her spoiled! In China, we could leave Maggie in the crib or on the bed to run to the bathroom.... actually she preferred to be left alone. Now we can't lay her in her highchair, buggy, etc.... as soon as we lay her down she screams to get back up with us. She wants someone to interact with her all the time. She is a very different girl than the one that was living in the orphanage. It is amazing how much she has changed in the last two weeks. She is so pleasant, playful, and full of life. We are so blessed to have her as a daughter and sister!
Gracie is a little jealous of Maggie.... but overall she loves her to death. All Gracie wants to do is help feed and change her.... and of course play with her. Maggie on the other hand is not too fond of Gracie (yet). I think she feels that big sis is taking up too much of Mommy and Daddy's time. Who would have thought that Maggie would be the jealous one???!
Thank you all for following our journey. It meant so much to us that you followed our blog and posted or emailed us while we were away. I think we will keep the blog up for a while and post updated pictures of the girls over the coming weeks. A very special thank you to our friends, Gail and Elaine, who took such great care of our older daughter while we were away. You have no idea what your generosity has meant to our family. Thank you!
Here are a few pictures we have taken over the past few weeks.
